Text messages from SmoothRaffle

SmoothRaffle runs raffles for in-person fundraising events. If you have had a text from us, this page explains why, what you agreed to, and how to stop. If you are checking whether a message is really ours: every text we send comes from one number, (567) 371-4681, and starts with the word SmoothRaffle.

How you agreed to texts

There is exactly one way to receive texts from SmoothRaffle: ticking the box below on the signup form. The box is unticked when the form opens. It is optional - you can leave it unticked and still create an account, buy tickets, win and hear from us by email; your number is only for the organizer to reach you. Ticking it and pressing Continue is your consent. If you do not have an account yet, Continue emails you a sign-in link and the account is created when you open it; either way we record the time, the words on screen and the network address the form came from, and send you one text confirming it: SmoothRaffle: you'll be texted when you win a basket or a prize is waiting. Msg frequency varies. Msg&data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to cancel.

The words beside the box read:

Text me if I win a basket. SmoothRaffle sends you a text only about your own wins - when you win, and a reminder if your prize is still waiting to be collected - never marketing, never promotions. Message frequency varies, and is typically no more than one or two messages per basket you win. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe at any time, or HELP for help. See our privacy policy and terms.

Nobody is signed up any other way. We do not enroll people by keyword, QR code, paper form, phone call or at the door, and texting our number does not create a subscription. Consent to texts is never a condition of buying a ticket or of using SmoothRaffle.

What we send

Only messages about your own activity at an event you entered, and only these:

  1. A win notice, when a basket you entered is drawn in your favor. For example: SmoothRaffle: you won "Spa Afternoon" at Benefit Night. Open the app to arrange collection. Reply STOP to opt out.
  2. A collection reminder, if the organizer chases a prize you won that is still waiting to be collected. For example: SmoothRaffle: your prize "Spa Afternoon" from Benefit Night is still waiting to be collected. Open the app to arrange collection. Reply STOP to opt out.
  3. A purchase receipt, but only if you also switch on text receipts on your notification settings page, which is off until you turn it on. For example: SmoothRaffle receipt: $20 for raffle tickets at Benefit Night. Reply STOP to opt out.

That is all. We never send marketing, promotions, or messages about other events, and we never sell, rent or share your number.

How often, and what it costs

Message frequency varies with what you enter and win: typically no more than one or two messages per basket you win, plus one per purchase if you turned receipts on. Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan.

How to stop, and how to get help

Reply STOP to any message and texts stop immediately - our messaging provider handles that at the network, so it works whether or not the app is open, and we mark your account off as well. You can also switch texts off on your notification settings page. Reply HELP to any message for help, or write to support@smoothraffle.com.
